Where do I get the best price?

Dogs

May I bring my dog? (he is friendly)

• Dogs are welcome! We charge CHF 12.00 per night. Please do mention your dog when booking a room. Please be advised that you may not bring the dog with you in the breakfast hall because there is a buffet (hygiene reasons). Let the staff at the reception know, if you prefer to not leave your dog in the room during breakfast and we will arrange a table in the restaurant for you.

Parking

Do I need to reserve my parking space?

• As our hotel- or restaurant guest you are welcome to park your car on the premises for free. These are parking spaces around the hotel (on premise) where you can park without needing a reservation. 
• There are three (paid) charging stations available at the hotel. 

Check-in

What time is check-in?

• Your room is ready for you at 4 PM. Our housekeeping staff is doing their best to make sure your room will be clean and fresh by that time. It is possible that the room is available earlier. You may leave your luggage at the reception (luggage room) and we can print the guest card for you, so you can enjoy some of the benefits of it right away. The SPA and hotel park are at your disposal even before you receive your room key.

Check-out

Do I have to leave right after Check-out?

• Check-out is at 11 AM, unless mentioned different on your confirmation (for example some of the package deals). Please come to the reception before that time to pay your bill and to return the room key. Stay with us for a while after - the park, the restaurant and the SPA are still available to you and we are happy to still see you around.

 

SPA

What does the SPA offer? Do I need to be aware of something when using it?

• Our SPA offers three different sauna experiences and a whirlpool. More information and the guidelines: here.

 

Bathrobe

Do I need to bring my own bathrobe from home?

• A bathrobe and towels for the SPA will be available in the closet of you room. Towels for the deckchairs in the park may be collected at the reception.

Bus

I will arrive by public transport. Where do I get off the bus and how far is the hotel from the bus stop?

• Please get off the bus at «Gunten Dorf» you will reach the hotel within 1 minute.

Children

Are children welcome at the hotel?

• Yes! We are always happy to see families at the hotel. Please be advised, that only children age 14 and older are allowed at the SPA. As an alternative, the smaller children may use the play area "Aqualino" and of course the park with the water-play-area.

How do I best book a room for my family? Are there rooms with connecting doors available?

We can offer you and your family following options:

• Book our large Junior SUITE DESIGN, here, six people can easily fit together in one room.
• Book two separate rooms and let us know that (if possible) you would like the rooms to be close to each other.
• Book one of our double rooms design with the new bunk bed Twinny

 

Massages

Which massages do you offer and can I book them once I'm at the hotel?

• All our massages can be found here. Please book your treatment ahead of time. We have limited spots available per day and cannot guarantee you any availability.

 

changing room

I arrive in the morning and would like to change my clothes to go hiking. Can I get the key to the room already early so I can change there?

• You are most welcome to use our changing rooms at the gym of the hotel, should your room not be ready yet.

room features

I need medicine that needs to be stored in a cool place, do I have a fridge in my room?
I need the room to be cool for me to be able to sleep, do you have air conditioning?
I like to have a cup of tea before bed, is there a kettle available in my room?

• Our rooms do not have a fridge by default. You can rent a fridge (if available) or you can leave things at the reception for us to keep in the fridge. (during "office hours")
• We do not have air conditioning. Usually it cools down enough during the night that opening the windows is enough to cool down the room. There are (limited amount of) fans available at the reception.
• A kettle can be requested at the reception. (if available)

 

Swimming at the Parkhotel Gunten

Is there a beach, where can I swim?

There are a couple options for you to swim:

• 1. directly into the lake from the SPA (down the flight of winding stairs, only during opening hours of the SPA)
• 2.at the delta (stony ground)
• 3. for non-hotel-guests there is a beach right next to the hotel
• °C current water temperature in Gunten

My expectations 

Will all my expectations be exerted?

• We've been working in hotels for a long time. Still there's one thing we have not yet been able to figure out: how to read people minds. Please talk to us and let us know if there is something you need to make your stay better, before you arrive, or when you find something you expected to have but didn't find at the hotel. If we can, we will be happy to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.
